Kim Diamond is a South Dakota-based Holistic Wellness Coach, confidence cultivator, wife, and dog mama, who truly believes that we each deserve to be living a life that is filled with purpose, passion, and a deep love for ourselves.

Her mission is to empower women to hop into the driver’s seat and take ownership of their lives, their happiness, and their wellness so that they can become the version of themselves that they have always dreamed of being.

I met Kim at Selah Space, and she was also a part of my mastermind, The Confident Creative. I have learned so much from her already, and I can’t wait to dive into the topic of stepping outside of your comfort zone. Here are some of the main things I chatted with Kim about in this episode:

  • Meet Kim and learn about what she does
  • How Kim transitioned from being an elementary school teacher to a wellness coach
  • Feeling isolated and diving in head first to her business
  • Getting out of a negative headspace
  • Working through transitions and the emotions that come with it
  • The women that Kim typically works with and how she helps them get unstuck
  • Kim’s approach to confidence with her clients
  • Confidence and self-trust in relation to stepping out of your comfort zone
  • Getting curious before stepping out
  • The 4 ‘N’ process Kim implements with clients
  • Choosing yourself and having compassion
  • Moving through emotions and making space for new ones
  • Learning from what went well (and what didn’t go well)
  • Tips for if you are just getting started with self-trust and confidence (baby steps!)

A few highlights from this episode:

[8:05] – I kind of had to pull myself up, and think: what do I value, what’s important to me, and how can I start doing that?

[9:31] – I’m going to allow myself to feel it and then I’m going to take one step forward that’s going to get me out of that space.

[11:30] – I think confidence can mean different things to different people, but I think the most important step is figuring out those things that help you to feel confident and do more of those.

[12:49] – Confidence is not going to be like an Amazon delivery box that just shows up on your door one day. That’s not the case.

[15:41] – There is so much more out there for you, and it’s never too late to start over or try something new.

I have always loved what Kim has to share regarding self-trust, confidence, and stepping outside of your comfort zone, and this episode hit on those topics so well. When I think back on my first years of business ownership, it’s a sea of Excel spreadsheets and paper contracts and taking checks by mail. And it worked for a while! But I soon realized I needed something that organized my clients in a way that made it easy for me to keep track of them and their projects.

Dubsado has been my right hand software ever since. Dubsado was my assistant before I could afford to hire an assistant, and even 10 years later as my team has grown, it continues to keep us organized and sane. It allows me to send and accept digital contracts, send invoices and receive payments faster than I was receiving them by mail, and it integrates with so many other platforms that I use, like Google Calendar, so I never miss an appointment.

One of my favorite Dubsado features is payment plans. This allowed me to organize my monthly revenue so I have more consistent months of income. Now, I can spread out the payments, making it easier on my clients, who receive automated reminders, and it’s far more predictable for my monthly budgeting. I can also set up workflows to help clients prep for their sessions without me having to remember to send weekly emails. Honestly, when people ask me the one business tool I can’t live without, it’s Dubsado.
