Hill City, South Dakota Outdoor Tent Wedding

It’s been on my wedding photography bucket list to shoot a wedding on the west side of South Dakota. I love Sioux Falls, but the Black Hills are pure magic. The landscape lends itself to incredible photography. Plus the laid-back vibe is totally my speed when it comes to wedding days.

I didn’t know when Lyndsey and Matt first got in touch that they were planning **my** perfect wedding day … as well as theirs! The new Lottes’ got married in Hill City, in an open field of an old campground. It was a Saturday in September. There were dogs, a big white tent, dozens of desserts, a taco bar, and a baby goat named Karen (seriously).

It was mostly overcast all day, until the sun came out and drenched the hills in gold light. The wind was cold, but Matt and Lyndsey stayed warm wrapped up in each other.

If I were to plan another wedding for myself, you can bet I’d just copy and paste this amazing day. Enjoy!
