Take It Personally Workshop Recap: Sioux Falls Personal Branding Workshop

The first Take It Personally Workshop has come and gone, and after months of prep, I could not be more thrilled with how everything went.

The Friday before the workshop, I was so nervous and running around town trying to collect all the last minute things. When we got out to Pine Hollow to finish setting up, I started to calm down. And then, by the time we had everything unloaded and set up, I felt totally peaceful.

This was my first ever workshop, and admittedly during the process I was so incredibly nervous to do something I’ve never done before. But, by the time the day rolled around, I was ready.

When the women started arriving, it was so incredibly clear that they were all meant to be there. This group was incredible. Immediately they started chatting and connecting with each other like old friends. It was amazing.

The women arrived to a delicious breakfast spread of muffins, yogurt, granola, fruit, and of course, Globetrotter coffee. It was all prepped by my lovely mama, who was there to help all day, and my girl Kensi, who also made sure it all ran smoothly.

Each attendee received a workbook, as well as an incredible swag bag with goodies from our sponsors. The items ranged from Living Proof dry shampoo (a lady entrepreneur’s BFF, amiright!?), to bath bombs, to mini bottles of wine, and even a free financial consultation. The swag bags had over $200 worth of amazing product from sponsors.

Plus, we had two amazing gift bags from Sauna Haus that were given away to attendees as a surprise.

The morning session started with InstaBranding, a workshop all about branding your personal business on Instagram. We talked through changes that you should make to your profile, what you should be sharing, and how to increase your likes and engagement.

There were such amazing questions and conversations that came out of the morning session! These ladies were ready to LEARN, and there were a few attendees who made changes to their profiles while we were chatting. It was amazing!

We broke from the morning session for snacks, and time for the attendees to work on the workbook pages that we had just talked through. I also took the first group of women around the property for their personal branding mini session. As part of their attendance at the workshop, every woman got a personal branding mini session and left with 15+ images of themselves to use for their marketing.

My sister arrived around 11:30 with lunch, catered by Pancheros. We enjoyed burrito bowls, chips, guacamole, and queso … serious YUM. While lunch was finishing up we had a few more mini sessions and then started on the afternoon session.

The afternoon workshop focused on iPhoneOgraphy. We talked about how to use whatever you have (even if it’s your phone!) to take better photos in between professional photoshoots.

The women also used styling boards and props to create vignettes and flat lays for their social media. The goal was to leave with content for their October content calendar, and they killed it!

We ended the day with wine and a super informal Q&A where we could talk about anything they wanted. Honestly, the ladies did an amazing job of speaking up and asking questions all day long, so happy hour was just a continuation of that. It was so fun!

Everyone left with their swag bags PLUS an amazing custom cookie from Fig Tales. These sweets were gorgeous!! Such a fun thing to send everyone home with.

This first workshop has me even more excited for future ones! The friendships that came out of this day were amazing to watch, and I love seeing what the women are doing now that it’s been a couple weeks since we were together.

Will you be joining us next time!? I’d love to have you!
