South Dakota Engagement Session at Palisades State Park

I’ve been trying to make it more of a point this year to get out of town for a few sessions here and there to help with inspiration during busy seasons of shooting. Lucky for me, I have couples who are up for the extra miles!

I met Colin and Kirby out at Palisades State Park in Garrettson for their engagement session and I’m so glad we made the trek. The weather and light were absolutely gorgeous, and we had so much fun exploring!

Kirby and I have known each other since elementary school, but after high school our paths went separate ways. It has been SO FUN getting to know her again now that we are (kind of) grown ups. Not to mention the fact that it’s always such a huge honor when friends want to hire me as a photographer – I mean come on! That is pretty cool.

I’m so excited for this wedding in October, but until then I hope you enjoy these sweet images from their romantic and fun engagement session at Palisades!

These are all so wonderful! Thank you for sharing them. This "mama of the groom" couldn’t be more proud of these two and your work is awesome. You have captured them in a wonderful way. Thank you for sharing!
