Rustic Glam South Dakota Country Church Wedding

Have you ever been to a wedding that feels like absolutely every last detail has an important meaning to the bride and groom? It feels so special to be invited in to something so sweet and personal, and that’s exactly what Sam and Brent’s wedding day felt like.

From the moment I met Samantha, she let me know how extremely important her family was to her and how that importance would be woven throughout her wedding day. From getting married at the same sweet, country church where her parents married and where her grandparents are buried, to choosing to have the reception in the town where most of her family still lives, to incorporating tons of family heirlooms into her decor, no detail was spared great thought! I loved that she truly thought about everything.

Since Sam’s parents hadn’t seen her last dress fitting, she decided to do a first look with both her parents, which was about the sweetest thing I’d ever seen. I’m lucky enough to usually feel like I’m family by the time a wedding day was over, and Sam’s parents made me feel no different. They were the best, and so thrilled to see how beautiful and happy their daughter looked. I wanted them to adopt me! 😉

Oh, how I love little white country churches. This was straight out of a fairytale.

Sam let me know during wedding planning that she’d be surprising Brent with a song during the ceremony. She killed it! I know everyone was so impressed by this girl’s amazing pipes. And it’s not just anyone who can take wedding day nerves and turn them into a killer performance! Consider me impressed, Sam! It’s safe to say her sweet groom loved it too.

I just love the look on a bride and groom’s face as they leave the ceremony. It’s like the last weight has been lifted and all that’s left is happiness and joy. It’s time to party!

The wedding reception was full of amazing detail inspired by Sam and Brent’s families. And, we were serenaded again by Sam’s talented maid of honor who gave a musical toast. It was fantastic and so funny! She did a great job.

Sam and Brent, thank you so much for letting me share in the joy of planning your wedding, and capturing your day. It was an absolutely pleasure working with the two of you, meeting your sweet families, and celebrating alongside you and your closest friends. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness!
