While I love getting to know new friends through photography, there is something so special about being asked to take photos of people I’ve known forever. PJ and I were the best of buds in middle school (I know, a million years ago!), and Molly’s older brother and I were tight throughout high school. These two started dating about 9 years ago, and I’ve had a soft spot for them ever since. I just love high school sweethearts!

I’m so dang excited for these two to grow their family, even though I totally can’t believe that THEY ARE HAVING A BABY! I literally remember hanging out at Molly’s house when she still had a bedtime – and now she is the sweetest mama to be. Love that girl!!

We got so lucky with this winter maternity session because though it was chilly (hello, it’s January the temp was unseasonably warm and totally fine for some picture-taking. There was fairly fresh snow on the ground which made everything look extra magical. And that sunset! It’s been harder this winter to get really amazing sunsets, so I was so happy to see such a beautiful one during our session.

Molly and PJ, your boy will be in your arms before you know it and I can’t wait for you. There is something so, so special about your first son. You guys are in for some seriously love. Congratulations!
