Burgundy and Navy Fall South Dakota Wedding

After a week of less than ideal weather (so. much. rain), I was so thrilled that Colin and Kirby’s wedding day fell on a beautiful, crisp fall day. The air had the slightest chill, and the sun came out at the most perfect time after the newlyweds said ‘I do.’

Right after Colin and Kirby’s first look, when it was still a little cool, Colin handed Kirby his jacket.

“Are you cold? I brought this for you.”

It was fitting then that the message a few hours later during their wedding ceremony was a simple, but important one: be nice to one another. Be affectionate. Be thankful. It doesn’t have to be fancy – but it’s important, and isn’t always easy. Just be nice.

Even from the short time that I’ve spent with Colin and Kirby as a couple, it’s clear they understand the importance of this simple task. As the years go by and life happens, I hope these two remember that message. I have a pretty good feeling they will. <3

If I had all the time in the world, I’d spend it grabbing coffee (or wine!) with my internet pals. Since that’s not possible, I’d love to pop into your inbox once in a while and say hi!
