Olivia and I first met in October when she was hustling to get everything ready for her March wedding. I was obsessed with the idea of starting my “wedding season” a bit earlier than usual (March weddings are hard to come by in South Dakota!), and Olivia seemed like the kind of girl I could easily grab a cup of coffee with. In fact, when we met, we had coffee 🙂
Olivia and TJ’s wedding day was at Blue Haven Barn in Sioux Falls, SD and it was beautiful start to finish. It was so nice to have everything–getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception–all in one place. Talk about easy!
Olivia and TJ have the best love story. They met at church just a year before they got married, but you’d never know it from the way they are when they’re with each other. They really are two halves of a whole.
Probably the sweetest thing about their story and their day are their daughters. TJ’s daughters brought so much fun to the entire day, and I loved watching them with Olivia. The way they look at her, and the way she interacts with them is like they’ve always been around each other. It’s so sweet and special, and I’m so happy for this whole family!
I loved all the unique things about this wedding. Everything from Olivia’s two tone ring stack, to her insanely bright and colorful bouquet from Meredith & Bridget’s, to her sweet vows to her new daughters, to their unconventional wedding party (no formal wedding party, just lots of friends and family that love them!), this day was perfection from start to finish. These guys did it right!
Blue Haven Barn was the most perfect location for this day. I have been dying to shoot a wedding out here, and it did not disappoint! Even on a chilly March day, the barn was perfect and warm and we loved staying in one spot. The light in this place was UNREAL. Seriously–a photographer’s dream!
